In 2014 Xtenders, one of the leading superyacht tender builders known for constructing lightweight, high-performance carbon tenders, got commissioned to design and build an 8m low-profile limousine tender.
Among the tender bay dimensions, the brief included a custom interior of the best quality with extensive natural lighting and a bow sitting. Further the load on the aft cranes of the yacht was not to exceed 2 tons.
Xtenders didn’t have such a tender in there portfolio. Vripack was asked to deliver the design for a completely new custom vessel that would be built in Portugal by Trimarine and finished at Xtenders.
As I was well familiar with the Xtender’s brand values and the manufacturer’s workflow, I was asked to manage the design process up to the manufacturing of carbon structure and make sure that the tender would meet client’s expectations.
